Tragedy has struck as Judge Frank Caprio, the beloved TV personality known for his compassionate rulings on the reality courtroom series Caught in Providence, has passed away.

The announcement was made in a statement posted on his official Facebook page, confirming that Caprio died at the age of 88 after a long and courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

Prior to his passing, Caprio had shared a heartfelt video asking fans to keep him in their prayers as he fought the illness.

The official family statement read:

“Judge Frank Caprio passed away peacefully at the age of 88 after a long and courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Beloved for his compassion, humility, and unwavering belief in the goodness of people, Judge Caprio touched the lives of millions through his work in the courtroom and beyond. He will be remembered not only as a respected judge but also as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. His legacy lives on in the countless acts of kindness he inspired.”

Caprio rose to global recognition through Caught in Providence, where his empathy and fairness in the courtroom earned him widespread admiration, making him one of America’s most respected judges on and off screen.
