Kanye West is crediting his eldest daughter, North West, with reigniting his passion for music. The rapper and producer took to Instagram on Monday to share how the 11-year-old has inspired his creative process for upcoming album, Bully.

“This little girl made me love music again,” he wrote alongside a black-and-white photo of North sitting beside a keyboard in a makeshift studio.

He continued, “She asked me to make beats for her, so I got back on the ASR, chopped up beats for her album, and chopped every beat with my bare hands for BULLY.”

Kanye followed up with another post, sharing a video of North playing on a keyboard while he encouraged another musician in the studio to “play it”. The clip was simply captioned  “Training.”

North has already been proving she’s inherited her father’s star power. Dubbed as “Miss Westie”, she’s been following in Kanye’s footsteps with her own budding music career.

In December 2023, she made her rap debut at Kanye and Ty Dolla $ign’s listening party in Miami, performing their song “Talking/Once Again.” The track, later released on Kanye’s Vultures 1 album, featured North’s catchy lines:

“I love it here / We gonna take over the year for another year / It’s your bestie, Miss, Miss Westie / Don’t try and test me / It’s gonna get messy.”

More recently, North appeared alongside her 7-year-old sister, Chicago, in the futuristic music video for Kanye’s song “Bomb,” released in November 2024. The sisters stole the show as they cruised around in sleek, high-tech vehicles, showcasing their freestyling skills.

However, North’s talents extend beyond her dad’s projects. In May 2024, she wowed audiences with a rendition of “I Just Can’t Wait to Be King” at The Lion King 30th anniversary celebration at the Hollywood Bowl in May 2024.

Kanye shares North, along with sons Saint, 9, and Psalm, 5, and daughter Chicago, 7, with his ex-wife, Kim Kardashian.
