Reflecting on her upbringing, Erin Bates Paine, who was born on May 2, 1991, expressed her gratitude for a positive childhood. In an interview with People, she shared, “Looking back on how my parents raised me, I only see positivity and cherish the wonderful memories we created.”
Despite not having a television, Erin fondly recalled how her family filled that void with meaningful activities. “We replaced TV time with playtime with dad or playing games as a family, building memories together. I never felt deprived, and in fact, I think it contributed to making us more intelligent,” she added.
Inspired by her own upbringing, Erin, who married Charles “Chad” Stephen Paine III in 2013, eagerly anticipated a large family. The journey was not without challenges, as a blood clotting disorder led to several miscarriages. However, they joyfully welcomed Carson in May 2015, followed by Brooklyn in August 2016, Everly in May 2018, Holland in November 2019, and Finley in January 2022. Although Erin once thought further children unlikely, they expanded their family with William in October 2023 and Henry in August 2025. Following Henry’s birth, Erin experienced septic shock, prompting Chad to request prayers on Instagram, stating, “We would appreciate your prayers for Erin as she recovers from complications.”
By October, Erin shared encouraging news on Instagram about her recovery, saying, “They might be a little wobbly, but they are steps I wasn’t sure I’d ever take again.”
