Katie Price was eliminated from Celebrity Masterchef on Friday evening following a culinary mishap.

The 43-year-old television star faced a challenging week on the competition, ultimately leading to her departure after serving undercooked steak and chips, along with a soggy brioche bread and butter pudding.

The episode, which was filmed earlier, aired shortly after Katie experienced a 1:30 am assault at her home, leaving her feeling “scared, vulnerable, and unable to sleep.”

During the episode, Katie found herself up against stiff competition from fellow contestants Dion Dublin and Joe Swash. Dublin impressed the judges and celebrity diners with his deep-fried halloumi starter and a pork main course, while Swash delighted with his Toad in the Hole and Tottenham cake.

Katie struggled under the pressure, particularly when her chips failed to crisp in the oven. She apologized to guest judges Vicky Pattison, Sophie Thompson, and John Partridge as she presented her main course.

The former model said after her elimination: ‘There are no excuses, you win some you lose some, I am so proud of everything, it is what it is but I’ve had a fantastic time.’  

Oh dear: Katie was flustered under the pressure when her chips weren’t crisping up in the oven, and when she presented main dish said: ‘I’m so sorry, what a shame’

Fans of the show took to Twitter to express their disappointment at Katie leaving the programme. 

One wrote: ‘Hhmm shame Katie’s dishes didn’t work out. Her toad in the hole was much better…she leaves with [ear emoji] ache Joe [weary face emoji] Dion [muscle emoji]’ [sic]

Another penned: ‘Sorry to see you go @KatiePrice congrats to @DionsDublinsDube’ 

With another writing: ‘Sad for @KatiePrice to leave #CelebrityMasterChef she has such a lovely attitude and spirit.’

Katie’s departure from Celebrity Masterchef comes amid claims she is ‘struggling to sleep’ after she was assaulted at her home. 

Police were called to Katie’s home at around 1.30am on Monday, where a man was arrested on suspicion of assault, theft and coercive and controlling behaviour.

Not great: Her boozy bread and butter pudding was a bit too much for the judges

The model has been struggling to process the assault, with a source telling MailOnline: ‘Katie is in a terrible state and has been struggling to sleep.’

The mother-of-five has since beefed up security at her home – where she is not currently staying.  

Katie is no longer on Instagram and has been subjected to vile abuse from online trolls in the wake of her assault.

She has faced horrific accusations from trolls claiming she faked her alleged assault, amid claims she’s ‘scared and vulnerable’ in the wake of the attack.

MailOnline exclusively revealed Katie has no plans to drop her assault case and  friends and family have rallied around her to ensure she has the strength to pursue a conviction.  

On Tuesday, Katie was pictured with bruises to her face and told The Sun: ‘I’m still all dazed. I’m devastated. I ran away after being punched — I ran to Harvey’s house nearby and have now done damage to my feet, which I previously injured.’

Katie said she was attacked as she watched TV – forcing her to flee in terror to her eldest son’s nearby home.

She said the alleged assault was ‘unprovoked’, adding: ‘I was just sitting there watching telly when the assault happened.’  

An Essex Police spokesman said on Tuesday: ‘A 32-year-old man arrested on suspicion of assault, theft and coercive and controlling behaviour has been released on bail until September 20.’
