Jason and Maddie Duggar, who tied the knot in 2024, have expressed deep anger over the “unthinkable” actions taken by Jason’s brother, Joseph.
“This past week has left us in a state of shock, confusion, and profound grief,” the couple revealed in a statement posted to Instagram on March 26. “While we’re appalled by the revelations about my brother, our focus isn’t on how this affects us personally. Our hearts ache because a child’s world has been shattered by the malicious actions of someone who should have been their protector.”
Jason and Maddie emphasized their commitment to supporting those who are vulnerable, stating, “We have always held a special place in our hearts for the defenseless and will continue to do so. It’s horrifying to think that anyone would misuse their power to harm the innocent.”
They concluded by requesting prayers for the “courageous” victim and Joseph’s family. “His children now face the harsh truth of losing a father who should have been a guiding spiritual presence in their lives,” they added.
They asked for prayers for the “brave” victim as well as Joseph’s family, saying, “His children must face the reality of losing a father that should have been a spiritual leader in their lives.”
