Tracker’s upcoming episode “Shades of Gray” promises a nail-biting case for Justin Hartley‘s Colter Shaw as he heads to New Jersey.

CBS revealed the official synopsis of season 2, episode 11, ahead of the premiere on Sunday, March 2.

“While tracking the son of a prominent New Jersey cupcake chain founder, Colter gets thrust into the middle of a violent mafia war,” the summary of the episode says.

The press release also revealed that actor Michael Rady will be returning as Elliot. Photos from the episode show Reenie Greene teaming up with Elliot, a lawyer from her old firm whom she once had a thing with. Other photos released ahead of the episode show Colter meeting with Casey Hale, played by Reilly Dolman, as he hopes to crack the lid on the case in the Garden State.

“Shades of Gray” will also see the return of Randy, played by Chris Lee, who is Bobby’s cousin. Viewers met Randy in the last episode when Bobby was off dealing with “family stuff.”

“He wanted to make sure he didn’t leave you hanging,” Randy told Colter in episode 10 about why Bobby called him in for the job.

“I remember you. You helped me with that case where you hacked into the police server,” Colter told Randy in episode 10, to which he responded, “Some of my best work. Bobby is dealing with some family stuff but he wanted to make sure he didn’t leave you hanging.”

“And for the record, I am the one who showed him how to jailbreak his phone so you are all good,” Randy said.

So far, it is not yet clear when Bobby will return to his normal role of computer whiz on Tracker. However, eagle-eyed fans noticed Bobby appearing in the midseason trailer in a scene that has yet to air in season 2. This seemingly indicates that Bobby will be back on the show at some point.

Tracker fans are currently on cloud nine after CBS announced that the show was renewed for season 3, set to air during the 2025-2026 broadcast season. Viewers took to social media to leave comments about their hopes for the upcoming season.

“Please tell me we will see the Shaw Brothers together in more episodes. I love seeing them work together! The show reminds me almost of a modern-day Burn Notice!” one person commented on Tracker’s official Instagram page, referencing Jensen Ackles’ role as Colter’s brother, Russell Shaw.

“Anyone else want him to have @mandymooremm on the show? I’d sooooo love that. She be a missing mother that he finds or something,” another person said, referencing Mandy Moore, who played Justin’s This Is Us character Kevin Pearson’s mom on the NBC show.

“You need to get Erica Durance and Tom Welling on!!! Smallville reunion,” another person suggested.

“We better get a season 4 and 5 as well,” a fan wrote.

“Shaw sibling reunion for season 3?” another fan asked in the comments section.
