Khloé Kardashian is currently choosing to keep her children away from the online world.

In a recent episode of her podcast, Khloé In Wonder Land, the 41-year-old discussed her decision to shield her daughter True, aged 7, and son Tatum, aged 3, from the internet and social media.

“For them, encountering paparazzi is just a part of life. It’s odd, but that’s their reality. They don’t question it,” she elaborated. “They aren’t connected to social media. They don’t access the Internet in any form. My kids don’t use Google or anything similar, so they aren’t even aware of what it all entails.”

Kardashian expressed her belief that young children shouldn’t need social media exposure.

“It’s a completely different environment. I’m not sure how to fully articulate it,” she added. “When they’re mature enough, they’ll understand it. In my opinion, children — my son at 3 and my daughter at 7½ — shouldn’t be on social media. They don’t need to be exposed to the Internet yet.”

“It’s just a different world. I don’t know how to explain it really,” she continued. “When they’re old enough, they will figure it out. I don’t believe kids — my son is 3 [and] my daughter’s 7½ — [should] be on social media in my opinion. They don’t need to know about the Internet.”

That includes TikTok.

“My daughter will be like, ‘I want to film a TikTok.’ They don’t know what TikTok is because I never talk about TikTok,” she said. “They think that means a dancing video, and so we’ll just film dancing and that’s them dancing on my tables and just having fun. But, they don’t know about like trending sounds unless I show them something.”

As for when that might change? Kardashian has a loose plan. She said she’s considering giving True a phone for her golden birthday on April 12, 2030, when she turns 12.

“That doesn’t mean she’ll get social media. That means she gets a phone,” she said. “I don’t think kids should have social media until, I mean, I would love 16 [or] 17, but a phone we’re discussing on her 12th birthday.”

Kardashian welcomed True in April 2018 and Tatum in July 2022. She shares both children with ex Tristan Thompson and has previously described their co-parenting dynamic as a “great friendship.”
