A lip-reading expert is lifting the lid on what she noticed Kim Kardashian, Dua Lipa and Callum Turner say on the red carpet.
Musicians, actors, reality TV stars, social-media influencers, and athletes all came together for fashion’s biggest night at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.
With no storage of celebrities hitting the red carpet to show off their looks for the annual Met Gala, there were plenty of eyes watching their every move. Now, a body language expert and lip reader are sharing insight about the way your favorite stars were acting and what they were saying as they arrived on the carpet.
What Kim Kardashian was cursing about
By now, we’ve all seen the viral video of the moment a security guard stepped on Kim Kardashian‘s dress as she left the Ritz-Carlton in Manhattan. But you may not know what she said after the incident.
The SKIMS founder can be seen turning around the moment she felt someone on her dress. She then threw up one hand a quickly said something.
According to Nicola Hickling, who is the founder of the LipReader which is a company specializing in lipreading and expert witness reports, Kardashian had six words for the security guard.
Hecking told The Mirror that the star said: “Can you watch where you step?”
The professional lip reader later observed the reality star cursing, but not about the dress incident.
Speaking on behalf of Spin Genie, Heckling told Showbiz Cheat Sheet that when Kardashian arrived at the Met, she mentioned that she lost a nail and eyed the floor as she asked for assistance saying: “Oh s***! Can you find my nail?”
Moments later, she uttered “thank you” to the person who helped her.
Dua Lipa and Callum Turner have a sweet exchange on the carpet
Heckling also caught what singer-songwriter Dua Lipa said while standing on the carpet with her boyfriend, British actor Callum Turner. Hecking noted that Lipa remarked that “Everyone looks so cool,” to which Turner replied, “You’re mine, baby.” She then replied, “And you’re mine.”
Darren Stanton is a body language and behavioral expert with a degree in psychology. He pointed out the Lipa and Turner showed a “deep connection” as cameras flashed but singer appeared “more dominant” than her beau.
Speaking on behalf of Betfair Slots, Stanton shared with Showbiz Cheat Sheet that “Dua Lipa and Callum Turner showed clear chemistry as they walked the carpet together. She came across as the more confident one, while he seemed less so. At one point, he didn’t quite know what to do with his left hand, which is a subtle sign of nervousness. She, on the other hand, automatically went into pose mode, which shows she is the more dominant one in these sorts of situations. She knew exactly what to do and what was required, whereas he was a bit more unsure.
“As a couple, they shared several prolonged and exaggerated glances, which indicates a strong level of rapport and trust. From their body language, it was clear they were very much in their own little bubble. The extended eye contact between them suggests there’s a deep emotional connection.”
