Kim Kardashian is reportedly “considering” filing for full custody of her children, in the wake of rising tension and controversies between she and her ex-husband Kanye West. 

Sources in the Kardashian camp suggest that the 44-year-old is extremely concerned about her children being associated with her father’s continual troubling controversies and is “considering” filing for sole-custody of her children as the disturbing behaviors that have seemed to only escalate in recent weeks.

The Kardashian insider shared with US Weekly that the mother-of-four “… is in a very tough position when she really has to coparent with him. Right now he is very distracted and she does not want to say anything bad about him, but the safety of her kids is what is [motivating this consideration].”

A second source added that Kardashian “is worried” that West’s online behavior could “create problems” for their kids.

The Kardashians reality star and West were married 2014 and stayed together for seven years before she filed for divorce in February of 2021. The entrepreneur has, on many occasions, been very open about the challenges of co-parenting with her ex after their divorce was finalized in November of 2022.

“I had the best dad. I don’t want to get emotional, but it’s just been a day for me. It is hard. Coparenting is really f—ing hard,” Kardashian shared on the “Angie Martinez IRL” podcast in December of 2022. “I had the best dad and the best experiences, and that is all I want for my kids. As long as they can have that, that is what I want for them.”

Kardashian went on to say in the interview at the time that she has unquestionably spent time over the years trying to shield and protect her children against the online news of their father’s controversies.

“I definitely protected him, and I still will in the eyes of my kids. For my kids. So, in my home, my kids don’t know anything that goes on [in] the outside world. I am holding on by a thread. I know that I am so close to that not happening, but while it is still that way, I will protect that to the end of the Earth as long as I can. My kids don’t know anything.”

She concluded at the time saying that dealing with West is a “full-time” job. “It is [a full-time job]. It is worth it because I think that of course I want to disassociate in specific thoughts and things being said because that is not me.

“But at the same time in my home I could be going through something, but if we are riding to school and they want to listen to their dad’s music — no matter what we are going through — I have to have that smile on my face and blast his music and sing along with my kids. [I can] act like nothing is wrong and as soon as I drop them off, I can have a good cry.”

Kardashain shares four children with West: North, 11, Saint, 9, Chicago, 7, and Psalm, 5. Although there has been no definitive moves in the court systems, that we know about, apparently, the second oldest Kardashain is not taking the option of filing for sole custody of her children off the table.
