While Kim Kardashian has built an empire that spans fashion and beauty, at home, she finds herself brought down to earth by her children. The SKIMS founder humorously admits that her kids often consider her “lame,” a dose of honesty that keeps her grounded and humble.

In a recent installment of The Kardashians, Kim candidly discussed how her four children—North, 12, Saint, 10, Chicago, 7, and Psalm, 6—serve as her personal reality check. Whenever she needs a reminder of what truly matters, her kids are there to supply it.

“Everything I do is for my kids, and they always ground me,” Kim revealed. “Anytime I need a reality check, anytime I need to be humbled, I just go home.”

Her children’s honesty comes with a refreshing lack of censorship. Kim laughed as she recounted some of their candid remarks.

“One kid will be like, ‘You’re so lame. I can’t believe you don’t know what this word means,'” she shared. “Or they’ll ask, ‘Ugh, when are you going to get a facelift like [Kris Jenner]?’ My kids will say crazy things, and I’m just like, ‘Huh. OK.'”

Kim has previously shared similar moments, including a 2023 Mother’s Day video from son Saint that perfectly supported what she’s saying about her children.

“I know I’m rude to you a lot, I say you’re nothing to me, but you mean the world to me…I love you more than anything,” he said in the video at the time.

That same year, North didn’t hesitate to critique Kim’s Met Gala look on The Kardashians, offering commentary that only a brutally honest preteen could deliver.

The facelift comment, meanwhile, nods to Kris Jenner’s own viral moment earlier this year after she revealed she’d undergone the cosmetic procedure.

“I decided to do this facelift because I want to be the best version of myself, and that makes me happy,” Kris said. “Just because you get older, it doesn’t mean you should give up on yourself.”

She added, “If you feel comfortable in your skin and you want to age gracefully – meaning you don’t want to do anything – then don’t do anything. But for me, this is aging gracefully. It’s my version.”
