Kim Kardashian recently offered fans an exclusive glimpse into the Pokémon-themed birthday bash she hosted for her youngest son, Psalm West.
On Thursday, the popular reality TV personality took to Instagram to share a collection of snapshots from the vibrant celebration marking Psalm’s seventh birthday.
In the opening photo of her carousel, Kardashian and Psalm are captured striking a pose in front of a backdrop adorned with colorful Poké Ball balloons. Another heartwarming picture features the birthday boy alongside his siblings, Saint and Chicago West, as well as cousin Dream Kardashian. The party setup, as depicted in additional images, showcased an array of large Pokémon-inspired decorations, oversized playing cards, themed balloon arrangements, and a full-sized Pikachu figure that surely captured the young attendees’ imaginations.
Captioning her post with a playful nod to the theme, she wrote, “Pokemon Psalm!”
In true proud mom fashion, Kardashian also dedicated a special tribute to Psalm on social media, ensuring his birthday was not only celebrated in style but also showered with love.
“Seven years of loving you and learning from you every single day,” she wrote. “I hope your birthday is filled with lots of Pokémon and dirt bikes. I love you so much!!!! Happy birthday to my forever baby.”
Kardashian and Kanye West welcomed Psalm on May 9, 2019 via surrogate. The former couple also share children North, Saint, and Chicago.
Kim Kardashian previously opened up about co-parenting life following her split from West in 2021.
In an interview on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast, Kardashian claimed there were periods when the children went “months” without hearing from West.
She told Alex Cooper that since the divorce, she has never kept the children away from West and has sent them to countries like Saudi Arabia and Italy when he asks. However, she said she raises the children “full time” at her house.
“They live with me and I welcome a great healthy relationship with my kids and their dad,” she said. “He knows that. I push for it all the time, but I also protect them when it’s time for that and it goes in waves and phases. It’s a lot of work.”
Kardashian also said West had not asked to see the children in “a couple of months.”
“They always knew that he had a big life traveling before and he was on tour and all of that and that he lives in different countries all the time and loves to live all over the place,” she said. “So we manage it really well.”
