Bravo star Kim Zolciak’s estranged husband Kroy Biermann is turning up the heat in their divorce fight.

On August 15, the former NFL player filed for primary custody of his and Zolciak’s four minor children: Kroy Jagger “KJ” Jr., 13; Kash, 12; and twins Kaia and Kane, 11, People reports. 

In court documents, Biermann, 39, claimed that “there is an immediate concern for the physical, emotional, and mental safety” of the children. He also called Zolciak, 47, a “tormentor and abuser.” 

Biermann and Zolciak, who initially filed for divorce in April 2023, currently share custody of their kids. But he says that arrangement is no longer working, in part because the former Real Housewives of Atlanta star is unable to provide “structure and accountability.”

‘RHOA’ strongly denies abuse allegations 

In a statement to People, a representative for Zolciak strongly denied her ex’s claims, calling them “completely false, misleading, and deeply hurtful.”

“Kim has always been, and continues to be, a devoted, loving, and attentive mother who puts her children’s needs above everything else,” the statement continued. 

“This filing is nothing short of a publicity stunt,” the rep added, accusing Biermann of playing dirty by filing unsealed motions in an effort to “manipulate headlines or public opinion.”

The latest twist in Biermann and Zolciak’s ongoing divorce comes after the pair were forced to move out of their shared Georgia home in April 2025, several months after it had been sold to a new owner. Kim has since settled into a new home, her daughter Ariana Biermann, 23, told Bravo’s Daily Dish in May. 

“My mom’s new house is amazing,” the Next Gen NYC star said. “She’s so happy.”

“[Kim] was living in the basement of our old house .., so I think for her, it’s almost like a really nice, fresh start,” Ariana said. “Where she can be in her own space and kind of just heal from everything that’s gone on in the past couple of years.”

But the new home came with some challenges, Zolciak said during an appearance at the Ultimate Women’s Expo in Atlanta in May. 

“It’s tough,” she said. “My two older boys are in football, so I have to get up every morning this week at 5:30 to take them to practice, and then they have practice after school, and I moved and I’m not in the school district right now, so I’m driving all over the place.”
