Nigerian singer Korede Bello has opened up about his spiritual journey in a recent Instagram post, offering a glimpse into his personal faith experience.
Originally a follower of Islam, the former Mavin Records star shared that he spent years practicing the religion before independently exploring the Bible. Bello’s curiosity about Jesus Christ, he explained, was driven by personal conviction rather than religious duty.
Bello remarked that when Christians fixate on the cross as a central emblem of their faith, it can sometimes feel like they are repeatedly crucifying Christ. He acknowledged that his video message was extensive but expressed indifference to public opinion. He believes that his dedication to Jesus will be evident in the love he shows to others.
The singer elaborated on the profound love of Jesus and the symbolism of the cross, which he sees as a marker of the end of sin and one’s past self. He emphasized that a believer’s true identity is found in the resurrected Christ, who is now seated at the right hand of God. Prayers, he noted, are directed through Christ, who is no longer physically present in the world or on the cross.
Concluding his message, Korede Bello sent well-wishes to his followers, expressing his hope that they, too, would find salvation. He continues to reflect on the love of Jesus Christ and the significance of the cross in his life.
