When Mauricio took to the stage for his first appearance on Dancing With the Stars, he had the unwavering support of Kyle, who was there in person to cheer for him and his dance partner, Emma Slater, as they jived across the ballroom.
Kyle didn’t stop at just cheering from the sidelines; she actively engaged her followers by sharing how they could cast their votes for Mauricio via her Instagram Story.
Following the DWTS premiere, Mauricio addressed the current state of their marriage.
During the September 28 episode of The Agency’s Red Mic podcast, he candidly revealed, “We’ve been quietly working through some personal issues internally. But let me be clear, we are not separated, we’re not divorced. We’re still committed to navigating our marriage together.”
The 53-year-old expressed his appreciation for the nearly thirty years they spent without facing any significant marital challenges.
“It’s been an amazing 26 years and it’s been a difficult one year,” he said. “Kyle and I are blessed, where we actually had 26 years that we did not have a bad year, and I know most marriages have bad months, bad weeks, bad years.”
Mauricio then addressed rumors that he and Kyle staged their separation to garner publicity.Â
“I am not going to destroy my life to put a plant in the news so people can get more entertainment,” he stated, insisting that he’s “not that smart or that conniving.”
