Lamar Odom finds himself entangled in fresh legal challenges. The former NBA star, known for securing two championship titles, was recently arrested in Las Vegas on January 17 for driving under the influence, as indicated by arrest records obtained by E! News.
At the age of 46, Lamar faces additional charges for exceeding the speed limit by more than 41 miles per hour and for improper lane change or failing to maintain his lane, according to the same records. A court hearing concerning these charges has been scheduled for March 17.
Odom, once married to Khloe Kardashian from 2009 to 2016, has a history with similar offenses. Back in August 2013, he was arrested in Los Angeles on a misdemeanor DUI charge, which resulted in a year’s suspension of his driver’s license. He later pleaded no contest in December of that year, leading to a sentence of 36 months of probation, fines totaling $1,814, and mandatory completion of an alcohol education program, as confirmed by E! News at the time.
Lamar’s struggles have been documented over the years, including a life-threatening incident in October 2015 when he was found unconscious at a Nevada brothel due to a drug overdose. This critical event left him in a coma for three days, during which he suffered six heart attacks and 12 strokes.
