Larry the Cable Guy was recently hospitalized, leading to a pause in the filming of his latest television venture.
At 63, the well-loved comedian had to halt work on American Mayhem after being struck with appendicitis. According to an official statement, he was released from the hospital on Saturday, July 25.
“Yes, Larry was indeed hospitalized due to appendicitis,” a representative confirmed to the Daily Mail. “He was discharged today and is on the road to recovery. His spirits are high, and he’s feeling considerably better.”
On Sunday, July 26, Larry himself took to X to share a personal update about his condition.

“Getting a lot of messages so just to let ya know I’m all good,” he wrote. “I had major stomach pain and turns out I had appendicitis.”
He continued: “It was removed and after 2 days in the hospital I’m home and recovering. Pretty sore but vitals good, my butt looks fantastic and now just taking stool …”
Before getting his appendix removed, Larry the Cable Guy was filming episodes of his CBS series, American Mayhem. According to a press release, the 52-episode run is scheduled to be released this fall.

Larry the Cable Guy noted he doesn’t “worry about it” when he performs in a “woke” America.
“I already got a pretty good, built-in following and I got some awesome fans,” he shared. “You know, if I think it’s funny I’m going to do it and we’ll see where it goes. If you let it bother you, yeah it’s going to be tough.”
He further added that comedy comes down to personal taste, adding, “That’s the whole key right there. If you don’t like it, it’s like soda pop. Find the one you like and don’t bitch about the others.”
