Leighton Meester, renowned for her role as Blair Waldorf, has also been making waves with her skincare insights. The actress and singer recently shared her secrets for achieving smooth, radiant skin, shedding light on a particular product that has transformed her skincare regimen over the years.
In an interview with Marie Claire, Leighton, 39, expressed her fondness for an exfoliating mitt. “I love an exfoliating mitt,” she revealed. “I enjoy a spa day at Olympic Day Spa in LA, a Korean spa that has a co-ed section and a women-only area. My first visit left me intrigued, thinking, ‘What is this place?'”
The singer of “Somebody to Love” and mother of two—10-year-old Arlo and a 5-year-old son with husband Adam Brody—described her initial experience with the exfoliating mitt as feeling like “an alien coming to Earth.” She humorously added, “It felt like they were saying, ‘You need to shed your alien skin to be here.’ It was incredible.”
Since then, the exfoliating mitt has become a staple in her shower routine. Leighton values it especially when preparing for a date night with her husband, Adam Brody, known for his role in “The O.C.” She explained, “I bought a version to use at home before shaving or applying fragrances, though I’m much gentler when using it myself.”
