On Oct. 6, former couple Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck reunited on the red carpet for the premiere of Kiss of the Spider Woman. The film, which stars Lopez and is produced by Affleck, brought them back together posing and smiling on the red carpet once again.
Many of their fans were over the moon to see them looking happy in front of the cameras. However, an expert is sharing that all isn’t what it seems.

Judi James is a body language and behavioral expert who has authored more than a dozen books. She weighed in with her expertise on Lopez and Affleck’s demeanor while they stood on the red carpet together.
James told the Daily Mail, “It used to be J-Lo putting in all the pose-producing effort on the red carpet when she was with Ben, while he tended to stand in several stages of reflective, distanced, or just impatient-looking body language. Suddenly, though, after two seismic relationship splits, it’s Ben putting in all the body language graft here in what looks like a bid to appear joyful to be standing alongside his ex.
“His staccato, slightly jumpy movements and insistently animated behavior look off-brand for the man who is usually famous for looking dourer when there are press photographers around. His teeth-baring smiles here suggest a huge amount of effort is involved to appear jolly.”
James added that Affleck’s unusually high-energy behavior and “overkill expressions” indicate possible “inner tension” beneath his cheerful exterior. The body language guru elaborated that the Argo actor was “smiling back at J.Lo with his upper lip raised in a way that bares his teeth in a ‘snarl’ smile that looks performed.”

According to Hickling, the two also spoke about Lopez’s outfit with Affleck saying, “I hate the black plastic bit on there,” to which Lopez replied, “I told you earlier I was wearing this.”
