Judy Garland‘s legacy continues to enchant new audiences as they discover the magical world of Oz.

The late star of The Wizard of Oz has a devoted fan in her daughter, Lorna Luft—whose father was the notable film producer Sidney Luft. Lorna is thrilled about the success of the film Wicked, which shares its universe with her mother’s legendary movie.

“I am so thrilled for everyone involved with Wicked,” Lorna expressed exclusively to E! News at the Red Diamond 95th Anniversary Gala held at The Pierre Hotel in New York City on Nov. 20. “Jon Chu is incredible. Cynthia [Erivo] and Ariana [Grande] and all the cast members, they have their own story and unique journey in Oz.”

Lorna, now 73, added, “I believe Jeff [Goldblum] and Michelle [Yeoh] along with everyone who experiences Oz and joins that magical family find it truly special.”

While she holds the cast in high regard, the Grease 2 star ultimately highlighted the author whose books inspired both Wicked and The Wizard of Oz.
