Louis Tomlinson has made it clear that his disdain for YouTuber Logan Paul is perpetual, stemming from an interview Paul conducted with Liam Payne.
The 33-year-old musician criticized the internet personality for the 2022 interview, during which Payne made provocative statements about his fellow One Direction members.
Speaking candidly to the Independent, Louis expressed his feelings, saying, “I absolutely despise [Logan Paul] forever; he’s a dreadful, dreadful little person.”
He went on to critique the nature of modern media, adding, “This is part of the issue with some of this new ‘media.’ I’d like to believe that most journalists… some journalists have a responsibility to care.”
During the June 2022 conversation with Logan, Liam alleged that he had been physically confronted by a bandmate, a claim that stirred controversy.
He called Zayn Malik a ‘d**k’, adding there were ‘many reasons why I dislike Zayn’ and alluded to singer’s altercation with Yolanda Hadid the previous year.

Liam also said that he and Louis had hated each other when they were in One Direction and claimed that the group was formed around himself.
Louis agreed with Liam’s assessment however, saying: ‘It was, definitely. It was definitely a role that was assigned to him. That is the truth.’
The star admitted the video is ‘hard for me to watch back’.
Liam’s headline-grabbing claims did not go down well with fans, and they took to Twitter to drag the hitmaker with viral memes and starting joke trends about blocking his social media accounts.
He later apologised for his comments, saying he had a ‘chip on my shoulder’ and ‘took it out on everyone else’.
He added that he ‘loves my boys’ appearing to refer to the One Direction members – Niall Horan, Harry Styles, Zayn and Louis.
Liam said that the criticism had led to things going ‘quite dark’ for him and that he didn’t leave his house for three months, but that he was able to laugh at the jokes.
Liam suffered a fatal fall off a hotel balcony in Argentina in October 2024 at the age of 31, and a subsequent toxicology report revealed alcohol, cocaine and a prescription antidepressant in his system.

Liam caused a massive upset among the One Direction fanbase in 2022 after making some controversial comments about the band
Earlier this month, Louis said Liam’s death ‘completely put a pin in’ a potential One Direction reunion.
The singer explained how his late friend had been ‘campaigning’ for the Best Song Ever hitmakers to reunite, but now Louis doesn’t believe it ‘would be right’ following Liam’s tragic passing.
Speaking to Steven Bartlett on The Diary Of A CEO podcast, Louis said: ‘Never say never, right, but I’m just not sure it would be right to him [Liam].
‘Say for the sake of argument, 25 year’s time, it’s like a f*****g Oasis thing, they offer us an arm and a leg, and they’re like, ‘Come back and do this many shows’.
‘I don’t know. It’s just completely put a pin in all of that.
‘And the irony is, there was no one campaigning for One Direction to get back more than Liam. I would say I came in a close second.
‘There is now only three other people on the planet that will deeply understand my professional journey.’
Louis went on to add that he and his fellow bandmates Harry, Niall and Zayn all ‘massively’ looked up to Liam during their time in the hit band.
He added: ‘When I put up my post about him [Liam], I really wanted him to be remembered the way that he should be remembered.
‘I could just go on and talk all day about how amazing he was, but I think we all looked up to him.
‘I don’t think we would have been brave enough to say at that age when I was in the band, I think I would’ve had too much pride, but we all looked up to him massively.’
