Love Island Australia stars Joss Moss and Amelia Marni have had a heated argument over social media after he shared ‘private’ details about their breakup.

Josh, 30, took to TikTok on Wednesday to share a video claiming that Amelia, 27, never trusted him and that she was dating someone else just weeks after she ended their relationship.

‘When your ex didn’t trust you ever,’ he wrote alongside the video.

‘But starts dating a guy she met whilst you were still together 2.5 weeks after you broke up.’

He then captioned the post: ‘Very interesting.’

Amelia, who appeared alongside Josh on season one of Love Island and dated him after the show, slammed her ex in the comments.

She denied Josh’s claims and said the pair were well and truly over when she called things off with him and claimed he was ‘making up’ details to gain social media attention.

‘Can’t believe I’m having to comment on this embarrassing TikTok. BUT I don’t like lies – we both know the second I broke up with you, we were DONEEEEE,’ she wrote.

‘I’ve been so kind and private about this whole breakup… It’s really disappointing to see you making up s**t for your engagement to go up.’

She continued in another comment: ‘I’m expecting a huge apology and a statement about these false claims. Doesn’t matter if you didn’t say my name so (obvious) you’re aiming at me. Embarrassing tbh.’

Amelia went on to clarify that she met her current boyfriend, whose name she’s yet to reveal, two months after she and Josh had broken up.

He said that on the day of their split, Amelia said she wasn’t sure if she was still ‘in love with him anymore’ and that the pair had been ‘unhappy’ for months.

‘She wants a lot of reassurance and she wants all that sort of stuff, and I can’t give her as much as she wants,’ Josh said.

‘We got back and I got home one day, and she was sitting on the couch crying,’ he recalled.

‘I was like, ”What’s wrong?” and she was like, ”I’m so unhappy. I can’t do this anymore. I don’t know if I’m in love with you anymore.”

‘And that was really, really hard. It came from left field, but now I look back on it I don’t know if it did come from left field.’

Amelia and Josh met on Love Island Australia back in 2018.

It was only a few months prior that the former couple were hinting at a possible engagement, with Josh telling The Daily Telegraph in February that Italy would be the perfect location to propose to his long-term girlfriend.

‘It might be a good spot to pop the question,’ he told the publication.

Amelia added, ‘I would love an Italian engagement. That would be very romantic.’
