Faye Winter appeared to take a swipe at her ex Teddy Soares as she said she has remained ‘classy’ and ‘dignified’ after their split.

Teddy, 28, who Faye, 27, met on the seventh series of Love Island in 2021, recently said he feels like he ‘has a voice again’ after their breakup.

Taking to her Instagram Stories on Monday, Faye shared a cryptic message about people ‘brushing around things’ and not directly addressing what they mean.

Speaking to the camera, she said: ‘I feel like there’s been some big life changes recently, that’s all I’m going to say.

‘I feel like I’m brushing over things. I feel like I’ve done so well, I’ve stayed really classy, really dignified, if I do say so myself.

‘What’s the saying where you’re brushing around things? When you’re brushing over the subject? That’s how I feel. I’m just like, ugh! Anyway, I’m going to bed now.’

She then shared a photo of herself with the caption: ‘Thank you all. Beating around the bush and the elephant in the rooom. Love you! Thanks for sticking with me.’

While Faye did not address Teddy by name, the message comes only a few days after he spoke about their breakup.

Teddy revealed it has been difficult going through a public break-up and seeing Faye talk about him on social media.

He admitted he feels like he is now ‘coming out of his shell’ again as he explained how he has been going out more after the break-up.

Teddy told MailOnline: ‘I have a voice again. I feel like I’m coming out of my shell again and going to events and going out more. Which is really nice.’

‘[Faye] talks about me in the press and we agreed not to but I don’t speak about her,’ he continued.

‘I’ve never been through a public break up before so it’s difficult seeing it everywhere and seeing things she posts and stuff online.’

Teddy went on to admit he also finds it difficult to see Faye post pictures of her golden retriever Bonnie, which they shared before their break-up.

He added: ‘She is posting the dog which is really hard because we shared it. I have snoop every so often to see the dog, she’s grown so much since I left in January.’

The couple announced their split in February after a year-and-a-half of dating amid speculation that they had parted ways.

Faye has previously addressed their split, telling The Sun in March that it had ‘been hard going through the break-up in the public eye’.

She told the publication: ‘It’s hard because I went into Love Island to purely find someone and I said anything on top of that was an added bonus.

‘I’ve never been in a situation where I’ve been in relationship in the public eye and I’ve had to go through a break-up in the public eye.’

She added: ‘So obviously it’s been hard and everything that’s been hard in my life post-Love Island, I’ve always had Teddy there to help me deal with it and visa versa, I’ve always helped him.’
