Luka Dončić, the celebrated NBA star, has a penchant for collecting cars, but not just any vehicles; he has a particular affinity for super rare and incredibly fast ones. His impressive collection is a testament to his passion for speed and exclusivity.

In August, Dončić secured his future in basketball by inking a remarkable three-year contract worth $165 million. Since joining the NBA as a teenager, he has consistently demonstrated his prowess on the court, earning both accolades and financial rewards. With such substantial earnings, Dončić has the freedom to pursue any passion he desires, and he has chosen to immerse himself in the world of luxury automobiles. His collection includes some of the rarest models, with one car so exclusive that only 25 exist globally.

In August, Luka Dončić signed a three-year, $165 million deal to continue playing in the NBA. Dončić joined the league when he was still just a teen. Years later, he has excelled on the court and has been rewarded for it. With all that money, Dončić can indulge just about any interest he might have. He has decided to indulge his love of cars. The versatile Lakers superstar has amassed a pretty impressive car collection, including several rare examples. Luka Dončić has discussed his cars in depth in the past, and he even owns a model that is so rare that only 25 examples exist worldwide.

How many cars does Luka Dončić have?

Luka Dončić made headlines earlier this year when he signed a massive contract. That massive contract also gave him some runway to buy a much-coveted, extremely rare hypercar. It isn’t the only car that the Slovenian NBA star owns. He has been a collector since his rookie days in the league.

In a three-day visit with Overtime, Dončić admitted that he didn’t know exactly how many cars he had, noting that some of them were back home in Slovenia, while others were stateside with him while he tears up the NBA courts. He guessed that he owned around 13 before he added the Rimac Nevera to his collection after signing his new deal. While the cars vary in make, model, and manufacturing year, they all seem to have one major thing in common: they go fast.

Which car is his favorite, and which is the rarest?

Dončić is a car guy, but he’s not satisfied with filling his garage with the compeltely expected models that many NBA stars have. He has some of the more popular options, of course. Still, his pride and joy are the cars that are so rare that only a handful of examples exist worldwide.

Dončić’s favorite car is one that he drives regularly, and with 1,000 horsepower, it gets him where he needs to go fast. According to Supercar Blondie, Dončić’s favorite ride is his  Brabus Rocket 1000. The car is a completely customized ride based on the  Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E model. The car is wider than a traditional Mercedes-AMG GT and has far more horsepower than is typical. Brabus, a high-performance tuning company based in Germany, only made 25 of the cars Dončić tools around in.

The Brabus Rocket isn’t his only rare car, either. He also owns a Rimac Nevera. Rimac is a Croatian company that specializes in all-electric high-performance vehicles. The Nevera that Dončić purchased reportedly cost him around $2 million, but it can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 1.74 seconds. Only about 150 are believed to exist in the world, and Dončić’s got his hands on one.
