Mariah Carey has swapped her usual Christmas flair for Halloween festivities as she and her 14-year-old twins, Moroccan and Monroe, embraced the spooky spirit abroad this week.

The legendary “All I Want for Christmas Is You” singer took to Instagram to share glimpses of their Halloween fun in Japan. At 56, Carey sported a whimsical Japanese Kawaii-inspired ensemble, featuring a white-and-blue dress, vibrant pink ponytails, and matching blue bows. Her children joined in the fun, wearing cozy Kigurumi onesies—Monroe in a bright yellow and Moroccan in a soft baby blue.

“Happy Halloween from Japan!!!” Carey joyfully wrote alongside the photos.

The Grammy Award-winning artist co-parents her twins with former husband Nick Cannon. Their family dynamic often shines through on social media. Earlier this year, Carey posted Easter snapshots with her kids, though they didn’t seem too pleased. Moroccan humorously commented, “Why do you do this to me mom,” while Monroe chimed in with, “OMG DELETE IT.”

Carey recently brought more playful embarrassment to her children during a Twitch mishap. In April, Monroe and Carey accidentally strolled into Moroccan’s live gaming session, offering a surprise appearance to his friends.

“Sorry chat, my mom is here,” the teen, known affectionately as Rocky, told his audience. His friends immediately chimed in with, “Hey, Mrs. Carey!” prompting Monroe to pop into the frame holding a dog.

“You wanna come here, Mom?” Rocky asked, before Carey leaned into view, waving and saying, “Hi, you guys! I love you too.”

Her son, mortified but laughing, pleaded, “Can y’all please get out, please? Love you. Get out of my room!”

Recently appearing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, the mother-of-two reflected on balancing motherhood and her career while teasing her daughter’s growing musical ambitions.

“My daughter’s into music, and she likes music,” the songstress shared. “She used to sing with me on my Christmas tour, but I don’t know if she’s doing it this year.”

When Fallon asked if Monroe might soon branch out on her own, Carey smiled and said, “I’m trying to get her to do her own thing. I think she wants to. So possibly.”
