Mark Cuban is waving goodbye to Shark Tank after an astounding run as an investor on the hit show. The businessman will receive a proper sendoff during an upcoming episode of the reality television program.

When Is Mark Cuban’s Final ‘Shark Tank’ Episode?

Mark’s final Shark Tank episode will air on ABC on May 16, 2025, at 8 p.m. ET. The episode will be available to stream on Hulu the next day. He said that he will miss the people who work on the show the most once he departs.

“Our crew from Sharks to PAs to producers are incredible to work with and to know. That’s who I will miss more than anything,” Mark told People in May 2025.

Mark’s costars, including Barbara Corcoran, spoke out about his departure from the show

“Like losing a brother, it’s terrible. I know I’ll get over it; I hope I’ll get over it, but it feels very sad,” Barbara told TheWrap in October 2024. “He feels irreplaceable. They say people aren’t irreplaceable, but on the show, he is. He really is.”

“He’d talked about it over the years, in terms of, it’s very time-consuming to do it and each year takes longer. I understand his transition, but working with him was amazing,” Kevin O’Leary added. “But the show goes on as it always does and I think there’s a lot of people who want to be sharks, guest sharks. I think that’s good, because I think America needs the show and the show needs America.”

Still, Mark said that he had no regrets about his decision to leave Shark Tank despite all of his successful investments he made on the show.

“Shooting the show is easy and fun. I actually love the shooting part of it,” the Pennsylvania native said. “But it’s a lot of time, and even more time to work with all the companies I invest in … For those entrepreneurs, it’s their entire lives.”

Mark credited Shark Tank for boosting his celebrity status in the business field.

“It took my celebrity to a completely different level,” he said. “I went from being a sports guy to celebrities telling me how much they loved me and the show, asking for business advice and investments.”

Why Is Mark Cuban Leaving ‘Shark Tank’?

The billionaire decided to leave Shark Tank after season 16 to spend more time with his family. Mark has been married to his wife, Tiffany Stewart, since 2002 and they share three kids: Alexis, Alyssa and Jake.

“My kids are teenagers and I want to spend more time with them,” he said during an appearance on the “All the Smoke” podcast in November 2023. “We always shoot in June and September, and in June, right when they’re finishing school, I have to come here.”

“When they were young it was like, ‘OK, we’re going to wait for Dad,’” he added. “Now that they’re teenagers, they aren’t waiting for Dad at all, and in September they’ve just gotten back to school. I want to be there for that.”

Following the podcast, Mark told The Hollywood Reporter that he wanted “to have a couple summers with my teens before they go off on their own. Nothing to do with the show. I love it. I love being on it. I love what [it] represents and how it motivates entrepreneurs around the world.”
