Mary-Louise Parker brought a special plus-one to her big night in London.

The Weeds actress, 60, was joined by her daughter, Caroline “Ash” Aberash, 18, for the world premiere of her new series The Institute on Thursday, June 5 during SXSW London 2025.

For the occasion, Mary-Louise looked sharp in a baby blue suit, while Ash chose a black three-piece set with a rhinestone-detailed top.

The actress adopted Ash in 2007 and is also mom to William Atticus, 21, whom she shares with actor Billy Crudup.

In past interviews, Parker has spoken about the challenges and rewards of raising two kids. She once called motherhood the “best thing” to ever happen to her and shared that her children have helped her grow in patience and perspective.

“I’ll be the first to admit that it can be very hard to raise two kids, but I absolutely love it,” she said. “I can’t imagine what my life would be without my children.”

She added, “They really put you in touch on how little you know and how little you are capable of and much you are capable of. They are very humbling, children. I am more patient now. I’ve become much more patient.”

When Broadway shut down during the COVID-19 pandemic, Parker credited her children with helping her stay grounded and creative.

“Sometimes it’s performative for your kids, you have to be a little bit hopeful and try to be creative,” she said of staying positive during the shutdown. “We put on plays, my kids and I, and we did [it] with their friends in other places and tried to write things and just connect in whatever way.”

The Institute marks Parker’s return to the screen following continued success on stage. The Tony-winning actress has earned five nominations and taken home the award twice, most recently for her role in the Broadway revival of How I Learned to Drive.
