Former NBA player Matt Barnes is spending quality time with his kids. The proud dad took to Instagram to share a photo with all four of his sons, including Ashton and Austin who he shares with model Anansa Sims.

In the comments, a fan pointed out the striking resemblance between one of the boys and his mother, writing, “The baby looks JUST like his mama and granny.”

Barnes replied with a touch of humor, “I had to admit that to her the other day. Smh lol look just like his mom.”

The exchange sparked speculation that things may be cooling down between the former couple, who have had a rocky few months. Barnes was also seen supporting Sims at her daughter’s 8th grade graduation, signaling a possible step toward co-parenting harmony.

Back in January, Sims accused Barnes of cheating with multiple women, publicly airing the breakdown of their relationship. During an emotional episode of his podcast ALL THE SMOKE, Barnes appeared to acknowledge his part in their split.

“I literally lost my family by being exactly what you talked about,” he said. “Like, I was the strong provider, but I wasn’t there emotionally. I wasn’t empathetic. I wasn’t willing to share those emotions… That was stuff that my ex would tell me: ‘You’re a wall.’”

Sims later responded on Instagram, urging Barnes to stop speaking about her publicly and to focus on their children’s well-being.

She wrote, “If you don’t have respect for yourself or for me, at least have respect for our children who follow you and see your posts. Your post is triggering for the kids and I, while we’re in the midst of healing and rebuilding our lives. We’re the ones who reaped all the damage you caused by your constant selfish, toxic choices. You didn’t consider our kids in your actions before, please try to consider them now. If you want to do some good, please don’t speak about me, go get consistent therapy and most importantly start building a relationship with God.”

Matt Barnes and Anansa Sims share two sons together:Ashton Joseph Barnes and Austin Matthew Barnes. Sims is also mom to three children from a previous relationship, while Barnes has two older sons from a prior relationship as well.
