DWTS Producer Provides Casting Insights Following Maura Higgins and Ciara Miller’s Addition to Season 35
Maura Higgins is steadfast when it comes to her friendships.
Just a month after being named among the first celebrities set to compete in the 35th season of Dancing With the Stars, Maura has expressed her opinions on who she’d prefer as a dance partner. There’s one professional, Gleb Savchenko, she hopes to avoid twirling with on the dance floor this season.
In an exclusive chat with E! News regarding her latest collaboration with Wingstop, Maura stated, “I’d be thrilled to dance with anyone except Gleb.” Her reason? Loyalty to her friend, Brooks [Nader].
Elaborating on her stance, Maura added, “I’m not a fan of how he talks about women.”
“I don’t really want to spend all my time with someone like that,” she added. “I’m like, no thank you.”
As for her “dream” DWTS partner, the Love Island alum does have someone in mind: three-time Mirrorball champion Mark Ballas, who was her costar on Traitors season four.
“I even get nervous of saying it because I see all these videos and they’re like, ‘Mark! Mark!’” Maura joked. “My accent is crazy but I do want Mark.”
