Ethan Plath has moved on. In the August 5 episode of Welcome to Plathville, the 27-year-old introduced his new girlfriend,  Teegan Nichols, to his family. It’s his first relationship since the end of his marriage to Olivia Plath, though he admits that he wasn’t looking for anything serious when he and Teegan met. 

Ethan Plath was ‘very reluctant’ to date after breaking up with Olivia Plath 

“I was very reluctant to start dating,” Ethan explained in the latest episode of the TLC reality series, adding that he felt “lost” after his breakup with Olivia. 

“Then, out of the blue, I found the one,” he said.

Enter Teegan. She’s a 24-year-old from Wisconsin who connected with Ethan on social media. According to her Instagram, she grew up in Oshkosh, where she played volleyball in both high school and in college at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. 

“I posted a picture of me and my motorcycle and she, I guess, commented back or whatever, ‘It’s a nice motorcycle,” he shared. “And I looked at her profile and I was like, ‘Oh, dang. It it a very nice motorcycle.’”

“I didn’t really think I would hear from him at all,” Teegan said. “But then I did and I was really caught off guard and excited.”

Teegan has a daughter from a previous relationship

Ethan and Teegan have been dating for about 10 months, and things are already pretty serious. She’s a mom to a child from a previous relationship, and Ethan – whose divorce from Olivia is not yet final – has embraced both her and her child with open arms. 

“I love being a mom. It’s the best thing I could have asked for. I’ve always wanted to be a mom,” she said. “Ethan does have a relationship with my child. I think Ethan will be a great dad one day.”

“Teegan being a mother doesn’t bother me,” Ethan said. “I love kids. I want to have a big family … just seeing the joy [being a mom] brings to her, I see it as a good thing.”

“I’m most definitely in love with Teegan,” he added.  

Are Teegan and Ethan still together?

Ethan and Teegan are very much in their honeymoon phase in this episode of Welcome to Plathville. But did the relationship last? Neither has posted photos of the other on Instagram in recent months, but they are still following each other, and Ethan frequently likes her posts. 

In January, Ethan formally introduced his “sweet girlfriend” Teegan to his social media followers. 

“She truly is one of the sweetest, kindest, and patient people I’ve ever known! Looking forward to the next year and what it has to bring,” he wrote (via People). “Wishing everyone a very happy new year! Here we go 2025!”

That post and others featuring the couple have since been deleted. That might be a sign they’ve split up. Or it could be because they want to keep their relationship status under wraps while the new season of Welcome to Plathville airs.
