Since Meghan Markle stepped down from her duties as a working member of the royal family and returned to the United States, she has ventured into a variety of career paths. The former Suits star has explored numerous projects, dabbling in content production, launching a podcast, participating in a reality series, authoring a children’s book, and creating a lifestyle brand.

The Duchess of Sussex has faced her share of criticism for juggling multiple, sometimes conflicting, endeavors at once. Recently, there’s been speculation that Meghan is aiming to refine her professional focus to establish credibility in a particular field.

Industry insiders suggest that Meghan may leverage popular podcasts to communicate her initiatives to a broader audience. Her upcoming appearance will be as a keynote speaker at a women’s retreat in Australia for the Her Best Life podcast in April. Furthermore, a public relations expert anticipates that Meghan will soon seek to feature on one of the United States’ premier podcasts.

Kayley Cornelius, a seasoned celebrity PR specialist and brand strategist, is renowned for her insights into media, pop culture, and influencer dynamics. She excels in crisis and traditional public relations, celebrity branding, and managing brand reputation. Cornelius’ expertise is frequently showcased in outlets like the New York Post, Elle, the Daily Mail, and the BBC, where she offers analysis on celebrity branding and high-profile relationships.

In a discussion with Showbiz Cheat Sheet on behalf of Action Network, Cornelius remarked, “Meghan Markle seems to be embarking on a new phase where she is actively endeavoring to cultivate a brand distinct from her royal ties. Over recent years, she has progressively ventured into the lifestyle and media domains, and podcasting represents a logical progression. It enables her to communicate directly with audiences and shape the narrative surrounding her ventures.”

“With reports that she will be making appearances internationally, including a live podcast appearance in Australia soon, it shows she is clearly looking to expand her presence beyond the States … I believe she will likely have her eyes on a much bigger opportunity, and one of the most obvious platforms would be Call Her Daddy. The podcast has become one of the most influential interview platforms in recent years and has already hosted major global figures, including Victoria Beckham and Kamala Harris, and that is the caliber of company Meghan will likely want to be associated with.”

Call Her Daddy, hosted by Alex Cooper, is consistently ranked as one of the top, most-listened-to podcasts in the U.S. for women.

According to Cornelius, “From a PR perspective, appearing on an established podcast like Call Her Daddy would also be a particularly strategic move. The show already commands a huge international audience, and importantly the demographics of its listeners are not too dissimilar from the audiences that already follow Meghan. That overlap means the conversation would likely resonate well with listeners while also introducing her to a wider group who may not have previously engaged with her work.”

So what are the odds that Meghan will be a guest on Call Her Daddy in the near future? Action Network puts those odds at 6/1, with a 60% probability it will happen.
