Meghan Markle’s going back to where it all started on With Love, Meghan. The Duchess of Sussex, 43, is returning to her “roots” in the lifestyle space and TV. But she’s also turning back the clock to the beginning of her and Prince Harry’s “love story.”
Meghan is going ‘back to the beginning’ of her and Harry’s ‘love story’ on her Netflix show
Speaking to Page Six, a source who knows the couple claimed that Harry, 40, is “happy” Meghan’s going back to TV and lifestyle content.
“Harry is a true partner,” the insider said. “He’s happy that Meghan is sharing this part of herself again. Inspiring people with beautiful ideas is one of her greatest passions. In many ways, this show is now going back to the beginning of their love story.”
When Meghan met Harry in the summer of 2016 —a mutual friend introduced them before the pair had back-to-back dates in London, England—her career was very much like it is today.
Back in 2016 Meghan starred on the legal drama Suits. She also had her own lifestyle blog, The Tig. Named after her favorite wine, Meghan posted all things cooking, fashion, travel, and beauty. She later shut The Tig down in 2017 after she became engaged to Harry.
Harry reportedly makes a brief cameo on With Love, Meghan. (He has a blink-and-miss-it appearance in the show’s trailer, too.)
Meghan is being herself on ‘With Love, Meghan’
With Love, Meghan also has the actor-turned-British royal being herself. “With all the other projects, you only saw Meghan and Harry for like two seconds. But this is Meghan back to being Meghan. Love her or hate her, people are fascinated by her,” the second source told the outlet.
“This show is really her being in her space and doing her thing,” they added. “She’s going back to her roots.” A friend echoed the same comments, saying “Meghan is back in her element” on the Netflix show “and this is her coming out of her shell.”
According to a TV insider who has had a glimpse of With Love, Meghan, it’s her chance to share her true identity with the public.
“Nobody knows who she really is,” the insider said. “[The world] created this image of who they think she is. She doesn’t claim to be perfect. That’s what the gist of the show is—she’s just having fun.”
Meghan Markle on ‘As Ever’ lifestyle brand: ‘This is what I do’
With Love, Meghan is just one part of Meghan’s return to her pre-royal life. The other part is her lifestyle brand. In an Instagram video on Feb. 18, 2025, Meghan announced she’d renamed her lifestyle brand, American Riveria Orchard, to As Ever. Since then it’s received lots of backlash online.
“The cat’s out of the bag. I’m shocked we’ve kept this secret for so long,” Meghan said. “As Ever essentially means ‘as it’s always been.’ And if you’ve followed me since 2014, with The Tig, you know I’ve always loved cooking and crafting and gardening. This is what I do, and I haven’t been able to share it with you in the same way for the past few years, but now I can.”
She went on to say she’d “secured the name” in 2022 and reassured fans there would indeed be jam. (Meghan gave jars of jam to celebrity friends in 2024.) “I think we’re all clear at this point that jam is my jam,” Meghan joked.
In the post’s caption, she called this “new chapter” an “extension of what has always been my love language, beautifully weaving together everything I cherish–food, gardening, entertaining, thoughtful living, and finding joy in the everyday.”
With Love, Meghan premieres March 4, 2025, on Netflix. As Ever products will reportedly launch later in the spring.
