Here’s what fans found so surprising about the Duchess of Sussex’s rosé wine.
Earlier this month Meghan Markle‘s new As Ever rosé wine became available for purchase. During it’s launch fans began complaining that the they had to buy the wine in bulk instead of buying a single bottle at a time.
The Suits alum‘s wine is priced at $30 a bottle but you have to buy it in sets. You can purchase three bottles for $90, six bottles for $159, or 12 bottles for $300, and that doesn’t include $20 shipping.
While Meghan’s wine is on the pricier side than many celebrity wines, it also has others beat with something else that’s pretty high.
According to the brand’s description, As Ever’s rosé, sourced from California’s Napa Valley, is a bespoke blend with “soft notes of stone fruit, gentle minerality, and a lasting finish.” And its alcohol percentage was is a surprising 14.5%.
Express compared the price and Alcohol By Volume of Meghan’s to that of wines by other stars including Kylie Minogue’s $12 rosé’s that has an ABV of 11%., Post Malone’s $27 Maison No. 9 with an ABV of 12%, Brad Pitt’s Miraval Rosé that runs about the same price as Malone’s and has an ABV of 12.5%, and Sarah Jessica Parker’s $20 Invivo X that also has an ABV of 12.5%.
