This year’s celebration of fashion will be co-chaired by Colman Domingo, Lewis Hamilton, A$AP Rocky, Pharrell Williams, and Anna Wintour, with Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James serving as an honorary chair. The theme for 2025, per Vogue, will explore the “indelible style of Black dandies, from the 18th century through to the present day.”

Met Gala 2025 Theme:

This year’s theme celebrates the Costume Institute’s new spring exhibition: Superfine: Tailoring Black Style. Per Vogue, “the exhibition — which explores the importance of clothing and style to the formation of Black identities in the Atlantic diaspora — will be arranged by 12 characteristics of Black dandyism.”
