The beloved Creed universe is set to expand, venturing beyond the familiar boxing ring that fans have come to cherish. Michael B. Jordan recently announced that the series will introduce a spinoff focusing on Adonis Creed’s daughter.

In an interview with Variety, Jordan confirmed that Prime Video has greenlit a television series featuring Amara Creed, the daughter of Adonis. This marks a significant milestone for the iconic Rocky and Creed franchises, as it will be the first time the story centers around a female protagonist.

“We’re spinning off with a series about Adonis’s daughter, Amara, which has been picked up by Amazon,” explained the Sinners star. “You’ll be seeing different facets of what I like to call the Creed-verse. These new stories will keep the universe vibrant, without relying solely on me to carry it forward as a boxer. I’ll be involved, but in a different capacity.”

Amara Creed, portrayed by Mila Davis-Kent in Creed III, was introduced as Adonis’s daughter, bringing a fresh emotional depth to the film. Her character emphasized themes of family, communication, and resilience, offering a contrast to the competitive dynamics within the ring.

While specific details about the upcoming series remain under wraps, Jordan’s comments suggest that this new venture is more than just a fleeting idea. The expansion aims to delve into life after the legacy has been established, allowing the Creed world to flourish with new narratives.

The idea of Amara as a central figure isn’t entirely new. In 2023, BOOM! Studios released Creed: The Next Round, a comic series imagining Amara as an older character working through the pressures of her family name while carving out her own future. That storyline laid early groundwork for a longer-form exploration of her character.

Michael B. Jordan also confirmed that Creed 4 remains part of the plan, though it won’t happen immediately. With his upcoming reimagining of The Thomas Crown Affair slated for release in 2027, another film in the Creed franchise would likely arrive later.

In the meantime, Prime Video is continuing to invest in the Creed world. Earlier this year, the platform announced Delphi, a series set inside the iconic boxing gym associated with Apollo Creed’s legacy, further expanding the universe beyond one central character.
