Michael J. Fox recently found himself at the center of a swirling rumor mill, as false reports of his death left fans in a state of panic.

The beloved star of “Back to the Future” is very much alive, contrary to a significant error made by CNN that led many to mistakenly believe he had passed away.

On Wednesday, CNN published an article with the misleading headline, “Remembering the Life of Actor Michael J. Fox,” which set off alarm bells among his followers.

In reality, the 64-year-old actor is in good health. His representative informed TMZ that Fox is perfectly fine and was even seen engaging with the audience at an event just the previous day.

However, Fox, 64, is alive and well. His rep told TMZ that the actor is doing just fine – and, in fact, was just at an event the day before, chatting it up on stage.

‘Michael is doing great,’ his rep confirmed, adding, ‘He was at PaleyFest yesterday. He was on stage and giving interviews.’

CNN, meanwhile, quickly backpedaled, issuing a statement to TMZ that read: ‘The package was published in error; we have removed it from our platforms and send our apologies to Michael J. Fox and his family.’
