Michelle Keegan has spoken about her pregnancy for the first time, sharing insight into her ‘sugary’ cravings and how she’s juggled her long-distance relationship with husband Mark Wright.

The actress, 37, revealed in December she’s expecting her first child with the TOWIE star, 38, and in a new interview with Grazia, admitted her ‘appetite has changed’ since she first fell pregnant.

Michelle said: ‘I’m usually a savoury girl, but now I’m craving sugary stuff. I’ll eat a chocolate bar while walking around the supermarket and just give them the wrapper at the checkout.’

The star, who has been wrapping work on the seventh series of Brassic before heading on maternity leave, also shared insight into juggling her relationship with Mark during periods of long-distance.

Since marrying in 2015, the couple have had periods apart due to filming projects, with Mark spending over a year in LA as the host of celebrity show Extra, Michelle has previously worked on projects in South Africa, Malaysia and Australia.

She added: ‘We never make each other feel bad about being away for work… we never let it affect our relationship.’

Michelle also shared that when she wraps Brassic, she’s planning to take a long break from work commitments to focus on motherhood.

She continued: ‘I’m going to take a good chunk of time off to enjoy being a mum. I’m never normally at home in the summer, I’ve always been away working, so I can’t wait.’

It comes after Michelle shared a slew of snaps from her ‘self-care January’ last week, as she showed how she’s taking care of herself during her pregnancy.

She posted a carousel of images, including her indulging in a spot of skincare by sporting a golden sheet mask, while wrapped up in a fluffy white dressing gown.

And she also treated her growing bump to a little pamper session as she snapped a picture of a bath running alongside a pregnancy care kit from Rochelle Humes’ brand My Little Coco.

She also included a snap of a treatment bed and tagged an aesthetics clinic, along with a clip of her and Mark, 38, enjoying a stroll together.

Like the rest of the UK, Michelle also spent the month of January enthralled in BBC’s The Traitors, as she shared a picture of the show playing on her TV while she enjoyed dinner.

While she showed her excitement to become a mother, as she ending the photo dump with the quote: ‘This will be a good year’.

Michelle and Mark confirmed the happy news that they are expecting in a joint Instagram post in December, sharing a sweet photograph where Michelle cradled her blossoming bump.

They captioned the post: ‘2025 is going to be a special one for us…✨’

Former Coronation Street star Michelle married Mark in May 2015 and the couple live together in an Essex mansion they built from scratch.

Heart Radio host Mark, who rose to fame on ITVBe series TOWIE, is already an uncle to footballer brother Josh’s two children as well as sister Jess’s son and has spoken over the years about wanting to become a father himself one day.

And the couple are reportedly being targeted for their own fly-on-the-wall series which will document their journey into parenthood.

A source told The Sun: ‘Michelle and Mark are such a TV power couple, and becoming parents is huge for them. A couple of production companies are writing up propositions to see if they’d let in cameras to follow them becoming parents.’

‘These fly-on-the-wall shows are huge on ITV, as well as streamers like Prime, and there is a huge audience that would love an insight into Michelle and Mark’s world.’

‘It’s all just in the planning stages and no formal approaches have been made but the offers are close to being finalised.’
