Molly-Mae Hague, who is expecting her second child, found herself at the center of controversy when she posted photos of her recent private jet journey on Sunday. Environmental advocates among her followers criticized her for the choice, accusing her of contributing to ecological harm.

The 26-year-old Love Island alum is well-known for her indulgence in luxurious getaways, having embarked on ten opulent vacations last year alone. This latest escapade saw her traveling with her three-year-old daughter, Bambi.

Critics swiftly questioned the necessity of her private jet travel, suggesting that a commercial flight would significantly reduce carbon emissions. Some even posed the question: “Don’t you care about your children’s future?”

On Instagram, Molly-Mae, flaunting her chic style, wore a snug grey top accentuating her growing baby bump, paired with a baseball cap and a roomy leather jacket.

Bambi shared a kiss with her mother as she strolled around the cabin, with Molly-Mae captioning the snaps: ‘Soaking up the last moments of just us.’.

Disgruntled followers expressed their disapproval, saying, “It’s shocking to see someone using a private jet. What will be left of this planet in 50 years? It’s a daunting situation for the generations to come,” and sarcastically added, “So exciting to see the destruction of the world with your private jet. Keep it up, and your newborn will grow up in… whatever remains of the Earth.”

‘Why a private jet for all your trips?! Do you not care about the future your children will grow up in?’ ‘There is an irony in making an Instagram post which pays homage to the next generation, whilst contributing to our planet’s very hostile (but avoidable) future by taking a private jet’: ‘I’m over here sorting my milk cartons from from my cardboard and you’re flying in a private jet?’.

Despite being owned by just 0.003 per cent of the population, research shows that private jets of the rich make an ‘outsized’ contribution to climate change.

Scientists from Linnaeus University in Sweden found that private jets produced 15.6 million tonnes of carbon dioxide (CO2) in 2023, up 46 per cent from 2019.

The most frequent fliers each churned out 2,400 tonnes of emissions in 2023 – more than 500 times as much as the average individual.

It comes after Molly-Mae admitted that she’s ‘very lazy with everyday cooking’ ahead of her Celebrity Bake Off appearance.

She will join the likes of JoJo Siwa and Scott Mills to test her baking skills in a special edition of Great Celebrity Bake Off: Stand Up To Cancer.

In a new interview, Molly-Mae opened up about her culinary habits.

When asked about her biggest cooking fails, she told The Mirror: ‘I’m very lazy when it comes to everyday cooking, so I feel like I don’t have many disasters because I don’t make much effort to actually cook!’

She also revealed that she received a little help in preparation for the show.

She said: ‘I also have a lovely lady called Kate who bakes cakes for me for special occasions, and she did come to my house a few times and we went through some practice bakes.’

Earlier this year, Molly made her daughter a cake for her third birthday, as she took to Instagram to share photos of the big day as well as the preparation the night before when she made the cake.

She shared photos depicting the carnage in the kitchen in the hopes to create the specifically chosen birthday cake in the shape of a goody bag.

Elsewhere, the influencer announced she was expecting her second child with Tommy last month and is already six months pregnant.

Taking to Instagram last month, Molly-Mae shared an update on her pregnancy with a slew of recent photos, including showing off her growing baby bump.

Included in her ‘bits and bobs’ photo dump was a picture of a recent sonogram of her unborn baby projected onto the wall with her daughter, Bambi, gazing up at it.
