Monica celebrated her 45th birthday in style, surrounded by her closest family and friends, including her children and Brandy, her fellow headliner from The Boy Is Mine tour.

The Grammy-winning artist marked her special day on October 24, 2025, while performing in Nashville at the Bridgestone Arena. In a heartwarming moment, her fans serenaded her with “Happy Birthday” during the concert.

After the show, Monica continued the festivities with a mini photoshoot. She shared these joyful moments on Instagram, featuring her kids, Laiyah and Rodney, alongside Brandy and her daughter, Sy’rai Smith.

Another picture captured the R&B icon looking stunning in an elegant white gown adorned with button details and a sweeping train. She stood next to a magnificent gold-and-white cake that prominently displayed her name.

Monica expressed her gratitude in the caption: “My Love & Children @laiyah & @rodneyy. My Bestie Flew In @bosslady_ent. My Group Member @brandy & The Beautiful @syraismith gifted me a GORGEOUS bag… BRONICA IS A THING LOL … LOVE YOU GUYS DEEP. You’re The Best Things.”

Monica and Brandy are currently on their first-ever co-headlining run. The 24-city tour kicked off on October 16 and will make its way across 24 cities before wrapping up on December 7.

It also marks 25 years since their 1998 duet “The Boy Is Mine,” which topped the Billboard Hot 100 for 13 weeks and and remains one of the most iconic R&B collaborations of all time.

“This really is a full-circle moment,” Brandy said in a statement. “Monica and I coming together again isn’t just about the music — it’s about honoring where we came from and how far we’ve both come.”

“The love that ‘The Boy Is Mine’ continues to receive means everything to me. This tour is a celebration of our history, our impact, and the fans who have grown with us. Brandy and I have been on our own unique journeys, and coming back together in this way is a reminder of the power of respect, strength, and real music,” Monica added.
