Romelo Hill has officially stepped into adulthood at 18 years old!

In celebration of this milestone, his mother, Monica, took to Instagram to share heartfelt snapshots from his birthday festivities along with a touching message dedicated to her son.

“HAPPY BIRTHDAY.… We Love You…. And We’re Immensely Proud of You…,” Monica began her loving tribute.

She continued by acknowledging Romelo’s resilience, saying, “You have weathered so many storms and stood firm through every test. You’re a man of honor. That requires people to treat you with kindness and respect, all while making sure they reciprocate the love you so genuinely give when it’s been earned.”

Monica also commended Romelo for his accountability and determination. “No one is above the program in your eyes, and you hold yourself accountable while elevating and constantly reminding us that anything is possible.”

She also shared that when she asked Romelo how he wanted to celebrate his birthday, his request was simple. “Y’all do enough. Let’s just eat hibachi,” he replied.

What Romelo didn’t expect was what came next. The dinner ended with a surprise gift — a brand-new car.

“I love you,” Monica added. “Don’t ever forget your gift will always make room for you, and Momma will always scream for you.”

Romelo currently plays basketball for RWE in Overtime Elite, which launched in 2021 and gives young players the option to pursue professional careers or prepare for college.

Monica is a mom of three. She shares sons Romelo, born in 2005, and Rodney “Rocko,” born in 2007, with her ex Rodney Hill, and daughter Laiyah, born in 2013, with ex Shannon Brown. She is also a bonus mom to Hill’s older son, Ramone.
