Renowned Nigerian music artist and entrepreneur, Oluwatosin Ajibade, better known by his stage name Mr Eazi, recently opened up about some unexpected aspects of his personal life and financial strategy, particularly during the early days of his relationship with Temi Otedola.
Despite achieving considerable acclaim in the global music scene, the artist behind the hit song “Leg Over” disclosed that for a good part of their courtship, he did not own a car.
Mr Eazi explained that this choice stemmed not from financial constraints but from a deliberate financial mindset.
He articulated that he perceived cars as depreciating assets, which did not fit his investment priorities at the time. Reflecting on his decision, he remarked, “I didn’t even have a car while dating Temi Otedola. I got my first car in 2021, a Range Rover, because I saw cars as liabilities.”
While he eventually gave in to luxury by purchasing a Range Rover, Mr Eazi admitted that his ultimate automotive goal remains just out of reach for now. Despite his successful business ventures, including his gaming and fintech interests, he remains grounded about his current financial limits regarding high-end luxury. “My dream car is the Rolls-Royce Cullinan, which is about $350,000… but I still can’t afford it yet,” he added.
