Naomi, whose real name is Trinity Fatu, revealed during Monday Night Raw on Aug. 18 that she and husband Jimmy Uso are expecting their first child together after more than a decade of marriage.
“We need y’all to proceed with caution because there is a baby on board,” Jimmy said in a clip from the What’s Your Story podcast with Stephanie McMahon that aired during the broadcast. “We’re pregnant.”
The Philadelphia crowd inside the Wells Fargo Center roared with excitement as Jimmy added, “We all the way pregnant!”
Naomi, fighting back tears, confirmed the happy news herself: “Yes, we are. I’ve got to get used to saying it. I’m pregnant and I’m having a baby.”
The reveal came just a week after the mom-to-be relinquished her WWE Women’s World Championship title, as she was not medically cleared to defend it against Iyo Sky on Aug. 11.
But she plans to gether title back.
“Even if I got to come back breastfeeding with my baby in my arms,” Naomi added. “I’m coming back to pick up where I left off. Whoever has that title when I do, I strongly advise you to proceed with caution.”
Following the announcement, Naomi and Jimmy shared more details on a special edition of the What’s Your Story podcast. The couple admitted the pregnancy came as a complete surprise after years of fertility struggles.
Naomi explained that she had an oophorectomy earlier in her career, leaving her with one ovary. In 2020, she also underwent a six-hour myomectomy to remove multiple fibroids, a procedure that sidelined her for months. The combination of scar tissue, her medical history, and her age left the couple believing natural pregnancy wasn’t possible.
That’s why Naomi was shocked when she discovered she was pregnant just over a week ago while traveling.
“I found out Sunday on the road, a week ago… in my hotel room,” she said. “Had been feeling a little different, a little weird. Just wanted to take a test to find out and make sure, kind of rule that out, not thinking, because it’s been a long journey with fertility issues that I’ve had. So, yeah, I just really didn’t think it was possible.”
Naomi and Jimmy, who tied the knot in 2014, already share a blended family with Jimmy’s children, Jaiden and Jayla, from a previous relationship.
