Final round for NBC’s most intense obstacle course show American Ninja Warrior are currently underway, but we won’t be saying goodbye to the show for a long, long time. Ahead of the show’s Season 17 finale, NBC has renewed American Ninja Warrior for Season 18.

Kicking off with the first round of qualifiers on June 2, Season 17 has been a season like no other. Though it features plenty of throwbacks with returning obstacles from previous seasons and long-time veterans taking on the course once again, there have also been plenty of new, exciting elements added to the competition. One such element is the new all-racing format introduced for the National Finals which began on July 28. The lucky winner of Season 17 will take home a hefty grand prize of $250,000. This season has gained massive popularity among viewers, amassing more than million total viewers across NBC and Peacock so far this summer.

If that’s not enough excitement, Season 18 is set to up the ante even further. According to a press release, “a brand-new round will be introduced to the competition featuring a supersized three-lane racecourse, where ninjas will face off head-to-head-to-head in thrilling side-by-side races.”
