Senator Ned Nwoko, who is also a businessman and known for his association with Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, has become a topic of fervent discussion amid the current strains in their marriage.
A video circulating widely shows the Delta North senator addressing a session in the National Assembly, where he highlighted a significant economic issue facing Nigeria. He described it as one of the nation’s largest economic debacles.
During his speech, Nwoko disclosed that more than $300 billion from crude oil sales is unaccounted for. This revelation came after he presented an interim report from the Senate Ad-Hoc Committee on Crude Oil Theft, which he leads.
The report uncovered that billions in oil revenues, spanning from 2015 to 2024, are missing, attributing the losses to systemic theft, poor oversight, and inefficiencies within institutions.
As he shared the committee’s findings, Nwoko pointed to factors such as inadequate measurement systems, internal sabotage in the oil sector, and lackluster coordination among regulatory entities as the culprits behind the ongoing financial drain.
His fiery presentation quickly gained traction on social media, as many Nigerians commented on the video drawing parallels between his political revelations and the turbulence in his personal life.
