Netflix has shared the first footage from ‘Bridgerton’ Season 4.
Netflix is celebrating the most romantic day of the year with a first look at Bridgerton Season 4.
On Feb. 14, the streamer shared a sneak peek at the next season of the romantic period drama, which will follow Benedict Bridgerton (Luke Thompson) as he falls for Sophie Baek (Yerin Ha).
“Well, we begin another season,” Queen Charlotte (Golda Rosheuvel) declares at the beginning of the 1-minute clip, which features footage from a glamorous masquerade ball. In Julia Quinn’s book An Offer From a Gentleman, Benedict falls for a mystery woman he meets at a ball, only to discover later that she is a maid who attended the event in disguise.
“It’s a spectacular night,” Sophie says to Benedict when they meet outside at the ball.
“Do not worry,” he says later. “I will not tell my mother.”

In addition to a look at Benedict and Sophie, the behind-the-scene video shows various fan-favorite Bridgerton characters, including Eloise (Claudia Jessie), Lady Danbury (Adjoa Andoh), Colin (Luke Newton), Penelope (Nicola Coughlan), and Anthony (Jonathan Bailey) as well as Bridgerton family matriarch Violet (Ruth Gemmell). Netflix has also confirmed that Simone Ashley, who plays Anthony’s wife Kate, will return for season 4. New characters include Katie Leung as Lady Aramita Gun, a widow who is desperate to marry off her two daughters, Rosamund Li (Michelle Mao) and Posy Li (Isabella Wei).
Thompson said he can’t wait for fans to see the new season – which does not yet have a premiere date.
“The scripts that [showrunner] Jess [Brownell] and her team have come up with are dynamite. They’re really, really, really exciting,” he told Tudum. “The storyline is a bit of a twist on ‘Cinderella.’ You remember being told those stories as a child — the magic and the romance of them. It’s really exciting to have that weaved into the world that we know of Bridgerton … It’s such a great story, but it’s also, I hope, really relatable.”
