Ashley Jones and Amber Portwood’s online feud is just one of several major happenings in the MTV realm. The former Teen Mom co-stars are using TikTok to communicate their concerns with one another, and fans of the famed reality TV series are absolutely here for it. Ashley Jones was the last to respond, quipping that it was “good to know” that Portwood wasn’t “totally crazy.”  

How it all started

Amber Portwood has spent weeks on TikTok Live, portraying herself as a victim, downplaying her daughter’s feelings, and acting as if she is in no way responsible for anything in her life. Apparently, at some point, Ashley Jones had enough.

In late May 2025, Ashley Jones took to TikTok Live to criticize Amber Portwood’s behavior. She accused Amber of appearing on TikTok Live while “high as f**k.” Jones then chastised her for not seeking appropriate mental health treatment, noting that she’s been sitting on the couch for 16 years. She also ridiculed Amber for continuing to see a child psychiatrist despite being in her thirties, noting that adult mental healthcare might be in order. The mother of one’s words could have spurred Portwood into action, but they seem to have just made her double down.  

Amber Portwood responds to Ashley Jones’ concerns

Ashley Jones questioning Amber’s mental healthcare and the amount of time she spends on the couch has clearly gotten under Amber’s skin. Shortly after Jones posted her TikTok soliloquy, Amber was spurred into action. Well, she was spurred into responding, at least.

The mother of two got off the couch and headed into the great outdoors to respond to Jones’ accusations. In her own upload, Portwood said she found it strange that she lives “rent-free” in her former co-stars’ heads. She also questioned the motivation behind Jones’ video and other public statements made by members of the Teen Mom family. She invited Jones and any other member of the cast who was concerned to speak to her directly. Still, she insists nothing serious is going on.

Ashley Claps back

Ashley Jones wasn’t about to let Amber Potwood have the last word in their sudden and somewhat explosive feud. After Portwood responded to her concerns, Jones returned to TikTok to further discuss what was going on. Jones sarcastically praised Portwood for being able to speak calmly, noting that the mother of two has finally proven she’s capable of speaking calmly.

The praise was short-lived, though. Jones went on to suggest Portwood’s relaxed demeanor proves the mother of two only screams and berates the people she thinks she can get away with screaming at and berating. Jones noted that at least she’s not “totally crazy,’ and can discern when it’s the right time to back down.

Portwood hasn’t clapped back just yet, but we assume another TikTok Live appearance isn’t all that far off. She’s been using the platform pretty regularly, and she’s showing no signs of slowing down.
