Nick Cannon seems to have differing rules when it comes to his twins with Mariah Carey.
In a recent chat on The TMZ Podcast, the television personality opened up about the dating lives of his 15-year-old twins, Moroccan and Monroe, and his approach as they grow older.
“My son has been dating,” Cannon shared. “I’ve been supportive of it and even encouraged him.”

However, when questioned about whether Monroe has the same freedom, he was quick to respond, “No, absolutely not.”
“I’ll be the first to admit, it’s definitely a double standard,” he acknowledged. “I often get into hot water because I speak my mind. There is indeed a distinct difference in the way one raises a son compared to a daughter.”
He shared that he is more cautious with his daughter and pays closer attention to who she spends time with.
“I am more protective of my daughter because there [are] things out there that I have to protect my daughter from,” he said. “As we know, there’s certain type of individuals that you want to keep your daughter away from.”
“If somebody puts their hands on my daughter, I’m going to jail,” he added. “If some man puts his hands on my daughter, it’s my worst nightmare because I am going to jail forever.”
However, he does not have the same concerns about his son’s dating life. When asked if he worries about girls dating his son for money, he said no.
“No! He got a whole lot of money. His mama’s Mariah Carey!”
The Wild ‘n Out creator said Monroe may have more freedom in the future, but there are rules in place right now.
“We made a deal,” Cannon said. “If she can explain to me what’s going to happen on these dates, then she can go.”
For now, that means no one-on-one dates.
“Your twin brother can go with you,” he said. “But you ain’t going one-on-one with no little bastard anywhere.”
