It’s been reported that rapper Nicki Minaj might be at risk of losing her $20 million estate in Hidden Hills, Los Angeles. This potential loss stems from an unpaid court-ordered settlement related to her husband, Kenneth Petty, and his 2019 assault case.
Recently filed court documents reveal that a German court has mandated both Minaj and Petty to pay $503,318 to Thomas Weidenmüller, a former head of security.
This legal action follows allegations that Petty assaulted Weidenmüller by striking him during the Nicki WRLD Tour in 2019. The incident reportedly resulted in a broken jaw for Weidenmüller, necessitating several surgical procedures.
The alleged victim accused Petty of punching him backstage during the Nicki WRLD Tour in 2019. The attack left him with a broken jaw, requiring multiple surgeries.
In a report obtained by The Real Deal, Weidenmüller’s lawyers stated that,
“The dwelling is subject to a $13,258,000 mortgage lien and a $722,151 homestead exemption… yielding approximately $6 million in equity beyond the lien and exemption. That amount is more than sufficient to satisfy the judgment.”
Weidenmüller claims the couple has ignored repeated payment requests, prompting his legal team to seek a court order to sell Minaj’s mansion and recover the unpaid debt.
Neither Minaj nor Petty has spoken on the ongoing proceedings, and this legal battle adds to a series of controversies for Minaj this year.
