Nigerian Music Icons Davido and Asa Allegedly Set to Perform at National Sports Festival Opening -

Celebrated Nigerian artists, Davido and Asa, are set to perform at the inaugural ceremony of the 2025 National Sports Festival (NSF).

Their performance is scheduled for 5:00 PM today, Sunday, May 18, at the NSF opening ceremony in Abeokuta, Ogun State.

The announcement was made by Bukola Olopade, the Director General of the National Sports Commission, on Sunday afternoon via X.

The 22nd festival, titled ‘Gateway Games’, will be officially inaugurated by Vice President Kashim Shettima.

Olopade wrote; “This is our own Olympics and the festival must portray that global feel in both competition and organisation.

“The National Sports Commission and Ogun State Government have put up a world class event to mark the opening ceremony later today by 5:00 pm.

“Two of Nigeria’s top Music icons, Davido and Asa will be performing at the MKO Sports Arena.”
