North West has made her debut on Instagram.

Last week, the 12-year-old launched her account with a simple yet eye-catching post. The image, slightly blurred, featured holiday lights twinkling in the background. North confidently faced the camera, flashing two peace signs.

If the pose seemed familiar, there’s a reason for that.

Fans quickly recognized North’s homage to her mother, Kim Kardashian, known for her iconic peace sign pose over the years. Without any fanfare or lengthy explanations, North shared a moment that perfectly captured her own unique style while nodding to her family’s legacy.

Her caption was succinct: “First post.”

In her first post, North wore a printed Balenciaga T-shirt, a mini skirt, and boots and her hair was pulled back into a sleek bun. The post already has garnered over 1M likes and counting. 

Per North’s Instagram bio, the account is managed by her parents. North gained hundreds of thousands of followers almost right away, including Kim and her grandmother Kris Jenner. As of now, she isn’t following anyone back.

The next day, North posted again. In the latest post, North was featured covering her face with her hands, with her bright blue hair peeking out from under a fluffy hat. The caption was super cryptic: just a purple arrow pointing right with the word “soon” above it.

North is Kim and Kanye West’s oldest child. They also have Saint, Chicago, and Psalm together. North is no stranger to social media although this is her first personal account. She shares a TikTok with her mom, KimandNorth, where she’s often in dance videos, skits, and family moments with not only the SKIMS founder but with her siblings and friends as well.

Lately, North’s been having fun with her style, trying out some bold looks ranging from dermal piercings to bleached eyebrows. Yet, when people start critiquing her choices, she wasn’t afraid to clap back and does.
