N6, a Nigerian media star called Nnamdi Nwabasili, took to Twitter to break the surprising news that rapper and singer Ycee, whose real name is Oludemilade Martin Alejo, has stepped away from making music.

N6 mentioned that he recently met the singer and was thrilled by her amazing ideas. He quickly suggested they collaborate on a song and make a music video. However, YCee, known as ‘Omo Alhaji’ for his hit song, disappointed him by saying he had stopped making music.

N6 wrote:

“Ran into Ycee recently at the Club and told him Let’s work on a Hit song asap; and i will shoot the Video immediately afterwards. Like Wsup. He gave me an answer along the Lines of He Doesn’t do Music Again & my Heart broke. The game needs Ycee tbvh.”

Ycee, whose real name is Oludemilade Martin Alejo, was born on January 29, 1993. He is a talented Nigerian artist known for his work as a rapper, singer, and songwriter. He gained popularity with his hit song “Condo,” featuring Patoranking, which earned two nominations at the 2015 Nigeria Entertainment Awards.

His skills gained him attention with nominations for Best Artist in African Pop at the 2015 All Africa Music Awards and Next Rated at The Headies 2016. In October 2016, Ycee signed a record deal with Sony Music but decided to leave the label in February 2018.
